Insight Trap
concept
The state of understanding a pattern clearly while remaining unable to change it. Insight accumulates; the pattern continues. Seeing is not the same as interrupting.
An Insight Trap can form when clearer understanding is mistaken for a change in the sequence. Within ANTLoops, insight can belong to Recognition: it makes a recurring Loop legible, but it does not itself alter the Trail the Loop follows.
For example, someone may recognise that a familiar task repeatedly leads to delay and still delay when it appears again. The example does not make the person inconsistent; it distinguishes visibility from Interruption. A different response at the point of activation is an Interruption. Repeating that Alternative Response may contribute to a New Trail. See the framework map
